macbook superdrive error

Hi, Garry. For the last month I have a problem with my Superdrive when I trying to burn (videos). The error says: (0x8002006E) and then it stops burning. I have tried to find information on google but I see that this problem is verryyyyy…common, but no one really knows how to fix it…any idea???????? Thanks

It could be a hardware problem. Impossible for me to tell. Another explanation is it could be the optical media you are using. Does it all come from the same package? Sometimes people try several DVDs and get errors and then think it is the drive. But then they realize that all the DVDs are from the same package so it could just be a bad batch. I would try to burn a DVD from another package (different brand, even) before worrying too much.
But otherwise, it may just be that the drive is broken.

That's some good advice Gary (trying media from a different batch or manufacturer). I had never thought about that before.
