Gary, I have OS X 10.6, a magic mouse and a track pad, I want a quci way to disable the scroll on the magic mouse, without going into system pref, willBetter touch or magic pref work, or can I assign a keyboard short cut.
Scrolling on the magic mouse is not good for photoshop, google maps etc, PS, thanks for the great video updates, Laurie in united kingdom

Magic Mouse Quick way to disable scrolling

So, let me get this straight. You want to disable scrolling with the Magic Mouse, but only when you are in certain applications? Then leave it working in other applications.
Sounds reasonable. I would expect that some third-party program like the one you suggest might do that. But I don't know off-hand of any that do.
So what I would do is to search around for those types of gesture-control programs and see if any offer that feature. You may need to install several of them (trials, or free versions) to see exactly what they do. I mention some back in episode 353: http://macmost.com/magic-mouse-custom-gestures.html, but that was a long time ago and there may be many more by now.
