Moving apps from Mac to Mac

I have a MacBook and I’m thinking of buying the MacBook Air. Is there an easy way to move apps (not purchased from the Mac App Store) from one to the other?

You can move them as part of your Migration Assistant move. Using MA is the best way to move from an old Mac to a new Mac. It will move your files, settings and other things including Applications.
It may not work perfectly, as some applications (Adobe comes to mind) only work correctly after a re-install of the application. In fact, they may require that you "deauthorize" the app on the old computer before you can "authorize" it on the new one. So it depends on the app.
