Multiple iPhones synced with 1 library

Can I sync more than one iPhone with my iTunes library? I don’t want the apps to get mixed up. Just want to sync it with one library so that I can share the same photos on both iPhones. I’ve made another user account for the second iPhone so that the contacts and calendars stay dynced with the new library. But then the pictures are not accsinle as they are part of the original library.

Absolutely. I sync my iPhone, iPad, and several old testing iPhones with my one iTunes library. Even have them attached at the same time.
You can select which apps sync with which iOS devices.

But then to have contacts and calendars synced too, this won't work right Gary?

Depends on how you have contacts and calendars set up. Just local? MobileMe? Gmail? Exchange? Even if just local, then you can still create two calendars in iCal and set one to sync with one and one with the other. Contacts might be harder if there are two local sets. But easy if using a mail server. Not sure what you have.
