Any idea on why just recently I’m receiving invitations to “Get” old summer of 2008 editions of your podcast along with current ones in my iTunes podcast listings?

Invitations? What do you mean by "invitations?"
I've heard of iTunes forgetting which episodes it has downloaded before, especially for shows that have as many episodes as MacMost. Not sure why it happens as I have never seen it first-hand. You can always select and delete those episodes from the list easily enough.
By invitations, I just meant the "Get it" button that appears by each title in the podcast section of iTunes. No big problem, just curious.
