I have had Gimp 2.6.5 on my system for a while. Today I downloaded and installed its latest user manual. Now when I choose Help>User Manual from Gimp it says I do not have the manual installed. It is looking in the wrong place for the help files (and I know where they are). How do I tell Gimp where to look for them?

Not sure I can help there. I'm not a big GIMP user. I think it is a great alternative to Photoshop, but since I have Photoshop...
Maybe try installing again? I'd also check to see if there is a good forum for GIMP users were someone may have posted about the problem before.
