Filters in Numbers are simply called "Hide." You can Control+click on a row or column and hide it.
In addition, you can press the Reorganize button in the toolbar (or Table, Show Reorganize Panel) to have Numbers hide rows based on criteria.
It is pretty self-explanitory. But I think I will do an episode on this soon because many people may not know about this feature.
