    I use Wirecast. See episode 265 for some details. http://macmost.com/making-the-macmost-now-video-podcast.html
    For most uses, you can use Wirecast's little brother, Screenflow. http://macmost.com/j-screenflow It actually includes some editing tools as well. I would recommend starting with that.
