Quick Access To Your Mac’s User Manual

You can get to the PDF of the user manual for your Mac by going to the Apple menu and selecting About This Mac. Click the Support tab. There are links there for the user manual, and also for a page of specifications in case you need them.

    there are no such links when i click into the apple menu and then select about this mac. i'd love to have a manual but am finding no way to get to it.

      Which version of OS X are you using? Keep in mind that every tutorial and tip is for the latest version of OS X, Yosemite in this case.

    I tried this & all I get is a "Quick Start Guide". I need the full manual. Where do it get one?

      That's probably it. Apple really doesn't do manuals like that, I don't think anyone does. Instead there are extensive help files for apps and OS X. Plus lots of knowledgeable and support articles at the site.
