Oh, BTW, I'd LOVE to be wrong about this and actually see a full version of Spore on the iPhone. But I I just don't think it is going to happen.

ivat: No, they didn't say it was the full Spore at all. They do talk about 18 levels, but only show some of the simplest stuff. I find it hard to believe that the game will even fit on an iPhone when most A+ game titles now take up at least a DVD for the installer. I've heard some about a Nintendo DS version of Spore and I can see an iPhone version to match -- but the PC/Mac version of Spore will probably be a huge game. Do you really think it could realistically be expected to run on an iPhone's mobile processor?

Did you not watch the SDK event? They said it was the full spore game, even saying that had all 18 levels playable on the iPhone. This is why boz said this is the stupidest blog post ever. You basically are just trying to get hits to your blog by posting something inflammatory so you can try to make some money with that giant adsense block on the left. Sorry, you fail at life.

OK, boz: Care to state why you feel that way? Present a counter-argument...

EA has already said they'll be releasing an iphone version along with the other versions.

"Spore for the iPhone will be released for the iPhone in September, at the same time as it will be ready for the Mac and Windows. EA confirmed plans to release Spore for the Mac at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, Calif. this past January -- the company is using TransGaming's Cider technology, as it did with its six Mac game releases in 2007."

along with the DS version there is also a cell phone version for phones less advanced. I think EA has enough resources to throw at a game franchise they plan on lasting 10 years.
