Amazing free app
This app is great! Has all the functions youll ever need. It is straightforward, light, and simple to use. After reading the lower rated reviews I realized that they were all due to user error and proves that they have never used any sort of photo editing software before.
This is basically gimp for mac but more lightweight and with more features. It is free and opensource so there is no reason not to try it out
Fantastic App
I love Seashore - it's easy to use for most photo editing tasks I need, without Adobe's exorbitant licensing model, and there's an option to support the developer for only $6, which I happily did as it's a no-brainer for me given all I can do with it.
My only feature request would be to add a Glyphs menu so I can use alternate characters in my OTF fonts.

Better that most paid apps
You can rarely find a completely free app these days that has this level of quality. This is not a demo, trial or lite version. This is a complete app that gives you most of the tools you need to edit your photos. I use it for all my photo editing jobs on Mac and have not been disappointed so far.
