A new feature in macOS 15.2 and iOS 18.2 is the ability to create links with highlights in Safari. These links take the recipient directly to text on a web page and highlight it.

There is no native function to link to a file from within a Numbers spreadsheet. But you can easily insert a file name or path. You can then use a Shortcut to jump to that file.

The cost of an app can be hidden in in-app purchases and subscriptions. Some apps are genuinely free, others have an upsell, and some make money from you or using you in other ways. It can pay to go to the developer's site to find out more and look for free trial versions.

Proxy Icons appear next to the title of a document in most Mac apps. You can grab them and drag them to the Finder, Dock, other apps and places to perform tasks when the file isn't easily available in the Finder.
