This week I've got a videos on how to control your Mac with a cheap little gamepad, see the total size of what's inside a folder in the Finder, and an updated video on how to create a searchable database in Numbers. By default you won't see the total size of a folder on your Mac. But you can use many quick methods to calculate and display the total size of the contents of a folder.

You don't need to use formulas at all if you want to get totals, averages, counts and other summary information from your data. Just create a pivot table.

If you have a large Numbers table and regularly search and filter it, you may want to use a formula and a filter to enable quick and easy searches instead. You can search by text, match values exactly, or search by date range.

Apple publishes design documents, templates and other resources that anyone can examine. It is a good way to closely examine what is coming in the next version of macOS.
