I have all my photos stored on external hard drive. My iTunes and music is on the same drive. Yet, while I have no problem syncing the iPad for music, apps etc. with my iTunes, I can’t seem to sync my photos. Why is that? How do I solve it?

  1. So, how do you have your photos on an external drive? Do you mean that your iPhoto Library is on an external, or do you just have photos stored in folders there? You must have the photos stored inside iPhoto, and that iPhoto library must be your current active library (it is what appears when you run iPhoto) in order for it to sync. Then you need to set up which photos sync in the iPhone preferences inside of iTunes. What do you have that set at? You can choose all photos, or specific albums.

I don’t have iPhotos. They are in a My Pictures folder – I am running my iTunes through a PC Laptop.

I had the sync set to the My Pictures folder in the external hard drive.

Sorry, I thought the iPad might have been enough Mac for you! Have a good day. If anyone else could help I would be grateful.
