When archiving AVCHD .mts files. Would I need to archive all the folders or their is certain ones that I need. Trying to save space. By the way is it good idea to zip the archive to save some space?

  1. I’m not sure. MTS is a video format used by some cameras, correct? I don’t have any camera that produces them, so I am not familiar with MTS files.
As for zipping them, have you tried it? If you try it, and find that it saves a lot of space (more than 20%, maybe) then yes. But if MTS is a good video format, then the data should already be compressed pretty near maximum. But an experiment is how to find out.
