What do you recommend to keep these synced? I often use the SecretNotePad plus app for managing passwords on both my iMac and MacBook.

  1. I’ve never heard of a third-party solution for syncing widgets. So you may just have to keep them in sync manually if it is that important.

Thanks Gary. How do I do this manually? Do you mean just copy and paste the content from the widget on my iMac over to the same widget on my macbook?

    • No, I just meant when you add a new widget to one Mac, add it to the other as well. But what “content” do you mean? Most widgets are things like calculators, clocks, weather, etc. Sounds like you are using some more advanced ones. Which ones? Maybe there are better alternatives.

I use SecretNotePad plus to store many of my passwords

    • Oh, that’s a widget? Never heard of it. I would switch to something more secure like 1Password or LastPass, etc. Or, if you just need to store bits of information and security isn’t an issue, use Evernote (syncs between Macs, iOS, etc).
