    Nice work. The Apple site has some ineffective chatter, but you nailed the solution. Thanks for helping me eliminate a small but repeated annoyance!

    THANK YOU! I find it funny how much a little thing like this can annoy me, so the satisfaction one gets with a solution is immeasurable. I wonder what other little gems I can find in your lists…

    After installing HP Scann for the MacBook. How do I stop the iPhoto Library from launching at the beginning when turning on the computer.

      So you installed something called HP Scan and now iPhoto launches automatically when you boot up? Strange. It must be something HP Scan is doing. You can try to see if it shows up as a scanner in Image Capture. If it does, it will allow you to change the behavior of this scanner.
