The Video Guide For El Capitan

We thought that instead of writing a beginners book on El Capitan, why not do what we do best and create videos! So we’ve created The Video Guide For El Capitan. We put together 21 videos with more than 3 hours of instruction, and made it super-easy to get by putting it in the Mac App Store.

This is a great way for beginners to get to know Mac OS X, and for casual users to dig deeper into the features. The videos are unique, not something that can be found anywhere else. The app lets you jump easily from video to video and you can resize the window for better viewing, even going full screen.

Even if you are proficient in using OS X, you may want to consider recommending this to friends as a good way to jump in and learn more.

Go to the Mac App Store to purchase The Video Guide For El Capitan

Thank you for creating this collection of training videos, Gary. We seniors tend to learn better by viewing what you're doing instead of just reading script. I've thoroughly enjoyed your tutorials ever since I purchased a MacBook Pro and the leader of our senior center leadership team suggested I watch your training videos. Now that I'm part of the leadership team, I get to refer new Mac users to your site! You're a jewel, Gary. Please keep up the great work!!

Your video is great. In the first 5 minutes, the information I gained was worth every penny. Thanks for this wonderful teaching tool. The only problem I have is finding the video on my computer. I have to get to it from your newsletter, which takes me to apple. Where is it on my computer???

The Video Guide For El Capitan is an app like any other app (Pages, iMovie, Photoshop, etc). I lives in the Applications folder. But you can launch it using LaunchPad or Spotlight as well.

I purchased the MacMost 21 videos guide to El Capitan. It was on my iMac and I viewed the Introduction. I install the El Capitan upgrade and now cannot find my MacMost videos. Can you help me?

I can help you find it. Please use the "Contact MacMost" link on the right side of the page and be sure to check your email address. I tried to respond to you directly before, but the email address you provided was incorrect. I'll leave this comment in place for a while so hopefully you see it. Thanks.

I went to the Mac App Store several times to get Video Guide For El Capitan. Each time it returned "No Results"
    How can I buy it?

It should come right away. Perhaps you were searching the iOS app store (in iTunes) by mistake? No need to "search" the app store anyway. Just use the link at the top of this page. It should take you right there.

Although the Apple El Capitan page says my early 2009 13" MacBook is compatible with El Capitan, several Apple employees have told me that they don't recommend it because the 2.0 processor wouldn't have much room left over for other applications if El Capitan is installed. The MacBook's RAM is 6 GB and the storage is 500 GB, so that's no problem. What are your thoughts on this? Right now OS X 8.5 (Mountain Lion) is installed.
