I believe MobileMe is being replaced with the iCloud in June. I use MobileMe to (among other things) safely share files. Will we be able to do that in future?

MobileMe has already been replaced by iCloud. But MobileMe won't officially be turned off until June 30.
So are you using iDisk for file sharing? You definitely want to move away from that ASAP.
There are many good alternatives. The most popular one is DropBox. See: http://macmost.com/sharing-files-with-dropbox.html
Thanks for your response. I know about DropBox but it's so nice to have file sharing available in iDisk. Wish they would leave that functionality or provide an easy alternative. iDisk is perfect!
What feature does iDisk have that DropBox does not?
Guess I don't know Dropbox as well. Password to share. I'm not as comfortable with the privacy. iDisk seemed to offer it all. Easy to use and access from the phone, computer and iPad.
Try it. There is a good DropBox app for the iPhone too.
Gary, one feature of MobileMe that isn't available through iCloud, or Dropbox, is the ability to publish an iCalender for sharing with friends, co-workers, etc...
Would have been nice if that feature was re-instated.
But sharing calendars IS part of iCloud. You can publish a read-only calendar for anyone to subscribe to, or you can share a calendar with specific people.
How do you publish a read-only iCalender? Can you point me to a video you have done concerning this? Thanks, JML
Actually, it is scheduled to be tomorrow's video. Look for it.
