I live in the UK and often the results from a google search are USA based! This is really frustrating especially when I decide to follow through with the search only to find the costs are in dollars or the information is USA specific. Is there a way to just get UK only results?

So it sounds like you want to do this when searching for products while shopping, right? You wouldn't want to limit your search when looking for information.
You can try using country-specific search domains, like starting with https://www.google.co.uk instead of just the regular Google.
You can also use the Advanced Google Search page at https://www.google.com/advanced_search and set the Region to United Kingdom.
Not sure how well either of these will work for you. It really depends on what you want to do (you skipped that question). For instance, if you wanted to buy an ebook or course, those may be at a .com site without a specific region and so you may miss out by just limiting your search. And sites may not show all currencies in the results, but allow you to switch currencies once you get to the site, or even in the settings or shopping cart.
Just a couple of additional thoughts:
• Try http://www.google.co.uk instead of .com – I have not specifically tested it, but logically it should focus on UK results?
• As an alternative to Google Search the DuckDuckGo search engine has a handy toggle switch right at the top of the screen to allow focus on results from your geographical region.
