On app store there are default mail apps for outlook, but there isnt one for gmail yet should i use gmail on google chrome browser or should i use the apple mail app for gmail
These days we are living in online world and all the work we are being sent through email and message it is important to know whether to use an app or just the browser like chrome and safari

Not sure what you are looking for. If you mean accounts in the Mac Mail app, there definitely is a default account type in Mac Mail for Gmail (Google). GO to Mail, Preferences, Accounts. Then click on the + button to add an account. Then choose Google.
So if you want to use Gmail, and inside an app instead of on the web, just do it that way. In fact, that's how I do it. I have a standard Gmail account and a Google Apps (my own domain) Gmail account, and use both in the Mac Mail app.
But you can also use Gmail in Safari or any other browser. You don't even have to choose. You can do both, using it in the Mac Mail app and also using it in a web browser.
