Recently upgraded to IOS 15.0.1 on my iPhone 12 Pro. I tried creating a widget with contacts but instead of displaying the contacts names, it shows blank circles. I tried the same thing on my IPad Pro and it worked properly, showing the contacts information. I am wondering if I need to change a setting or something else in order to have it to display the contacts correctly?

Try editing the widget. Tap and hold it, or enter the Home Screen edit (wiggle) mode and then tap it. You should then see slots for each contact and be able to tap those to select a contact to file that slot.
