Greetings! I’m a Patreon subscriber. I have a video that contains obscenities I’d like to bleep out. I watched your “iMovie for Mac Audio Tips And Tricks” on YouTube but didn’t see this specific topic covered. The ‘audio break apart’ topic near the end of your video came close but didn’t describe how to replace the section’s audio with a bleep-type sound effect. Any suggestions?

How Do I Bleep Out Audio In iMovie?

I would select the clip and use Detach Audio to break the audio into another track. Then I would split that clip before and after the section to be bleeped, then deleting that section. That removes that audio so it is just silence there.
Then it is just a matter of finding a beep sound effect you like and inserting it in those same spots. But a lot of times there is silence instead of a tone, so maybe see how you like that first.
