I noticed that all RSS readers for the iPhone need a google account to use. I do not want to create an account for this. Is there a way to subscribe to an RSS feed without it?

Can You Have an RSS Reader Without a Google Account?

Not all RSS readers use a Google Reader account. The only reason so many of them use it is because it is an easy way to keep track of which feeds you want to subscribe to. Instead of having to manually enter all of your feeds into various iOS apps and Mac apps and web sites, you can just record which ones you like in your Google Reader account and then point the reader to that.
But many (most?) RSS reader apps also allow you to manually add RSS feeds. Google Reader account lists are just an easy option.
thank you Gary... another quick question.. I noticed that Mail on my macbook has an RSS reader built in now. Can I sync those feeds to my iphone4s so they appear on a new email folder?
George
Yes. Mail has had RSS ability for a long time (always?). But the Mail app on the iPhone does not.
