Convert PDF to the spoken word

I watched the video podcast 424 convert text to spoken word audio. Can this be done with an PDF file if so how.

    I would try a few things. First, try just the first workflow in the video -- spoken word audio from a selection. Select the text in the PDF and use it that way. Easy and works fine.
    Otherwise, you'll need to use some more AppleScript to select and copy the text of the PDF, and then send that selection on to be made into an audio file. That's the route I would investigate.
