Do I Need To Run My iPhone 7 Battery To Zero?

Do I need to run my iPhone 7 battery to zero? If so, just once or regularly? I can’t find the answer on the Apple website and I get different answers when I ask at the Apple Store. I’ve read articles saying it’s not necessary any more, but don’t know if those are trustworthy opinions.

    No, absolutely not.
The idea that you need to completely run down a battery before charging it dates back to older computer laptop batteries from the 1990s. Those old batteries were very different than the ones we use today in MacBooks and iPhones. You would want to drain those to zero and then charge them up every so often to "recondition" the battery.
But this is not true with the batteries in current devices, and hasn't been for years. Bloggers and tech writers who don't know any better have been repeating the old "recondition your battery" myth. It is just wrong.
Charge your iPhone when you can charge it. Don't worry about whether it is at 5% or 95%. I simply charge my iPhone each night as I sleep, and use it all day. On a typical day I get to about 70% before the next night.
Apple has stated this many times as well: https://www.apple.com/batteries/why-lithium-ion/.

I have to recharge my iPhone 6 Plus from 20% to full charge twice a day every day.
