I’m looking at buying my a MacBook for my wife in the next year or so and was worried about the ever-controversial butterfly keyboard. I know Apple’s made some improvements to the keyboard, but wasn’t sure if I should just wait for a MacBook that has a new keyboard. So that’s why I wanted to know what your experience has been with the butterfly.

Personally? Yes. But it was a much older version of the butterfly keyboard than what they use now. But I can report that I had no trouble getting it replaced, for free, quickly, even though AppleCare was over. So in the end, it really wasn't an issue.
I do like the way the keyboard feels and appreciate how thin my MacBook Pro is.
