How Can I Save and Restore the Layouts Of Multiple Windows From a Specific App?

Gary did a YouTube video a few years ago about ‘Saving and recalling window positions with Automator’. I use an app called ‘Ecamm Live’ which uses 8+ windows and users seem to have them scattered around their screens. I would like the equivalent of ‘Workspaces’ in ‘Final Cut Pro’ in order to save and restore particular arrangements of Ecamm Live windows to suit what I’m doing with the app. I wondered if MacOS Ventura now has such an option or is it available in Apple Shortcuts? Or maybe Gary will do an update? Thanks!

There's no macOS option, as it would be up to the app to provide this. But you can still use that Automator technique. Or, you can use Shortcuts to do that.

In Shortcuts, use the Find Windows action to find a window from an app with a specific name. Then use Resize Window and Move Window to put it where you want. That way you can build a Shortcut that will be very close to workspaces in Adobe apps or FCP.
