Where can I save PDF files on my iPad and be able to view them when I am not connected to Wifi? Both Adobe Reader and Books require me to be connected to wifi.
I attend a weekly Ukulele group where we play/sing from individual song sheets. The sheets are located online in my dropbox. The only option I can find at the moment is to print each one or take a screen shot and try to locate it in photos. There is no wifi available at the location.

Books doesn't require you to be connected to Wi-Fi. Go into the Books app, tap the PDF that isn't downloaded, then select "Download." Then it downloads to your iPad and you can read it when offline.
By "dropbox" do you mean the product "DropBox?" If so, you can also select a file in that app and choose to download it locally so you can access it offline. Though the "reader" part of DropBox may not be as nice as Books. You can do the same thing in the Files app on your iPad if the PDF is in iCloud Drive, or even if it is in DropBox, which Files also shows. Just make sure you download it first before you go offline.
Thanks Gary. Hopefully what I have accomplished with your help will be the solution..being out of range of wifi, both the Books app and Dropbox app indicated no connection and would not load anything. Files are now in "Files" folder. Also chose the "available offline" option in Dropbox app.
Ellen: Books will definitely let you view downloaded PDFs while offline. You just have to download ahead of time just like you are doing in the Files app.
I have found the GoodReader app a very useful one for pdf files. It is a paid for app, but has many features beyond just being a storage location for pdf files. What I like especially is the way I can organize the files I save inside the app for use offline. A common use for me is to see some useful webpage and then use the print feature to load for printing. Then, using a two finger gesture on the image to be printed, I am given the option to save in GoodReader.
