How Do I Add a Router To My Apple Extreme Base Station To Extend My Wifi Range?

I have an Apple Extreme router for my Mac Book Pro, iPhone 6 and 6 plus. I want to extend my wifi range so I can utilize my Apple devices on my deck. Since Apple does not make routers any longer I ask for your advice on a wireless router that I can use that is compatible with the Apple Extreme.

Most cheap extenders will work with any router. Wi-Fi isn't a proprietary thing, after all. They just log on to the same network that your devices do, and create a new network. That's not an elegant solution, since you have to switch networks. But it does get you out on to your deck. Just search for Wi-Fi extender on Amazon and you'll see some.

Your only other option is to replace your AirPort Extreme with something that gives you good range or one of those "mesh" systems that have several parts to cover more area.
