How Do I Arrange Favorites In Finder Sidebar In Alphabetical Order ?

I have more than a few smart folders that are in my favorites, residing in the left pane of finder. After recent High Sierra install, they are in random order. Is there a way to re-arange them automatically ?

I don't think there's any way to have them automatically sorted. I think the idea is that you aren't supposed to have that many in the left sidebar. So you'll have to sort them manually.
Keep in mind that the High Sierra beta is a exactly that -- a beta. So things like this are going to happen, especially in a first beta. It doesn't mean that the eventual release of High Sierra will cause this to happen on install.

    Thanks Gary,

Do you have any other suggestions to my workflow - I have smart folders for my customers - invoices get sorted automatically so they're easy to find. I could re-arrange them (not a big deal really) but it would be nice if Apple would give us that option.

Using Smart Folders is fine. Is there a reason you need them in the left sidebar though? Why not just put them in a folder called Customers. Then look in Customers in a Finder window where you can view them by List or Column view to easily navigate around.
The main reasons for having things in the left sidebar are to have quit access for folders you access many times per day, and to have them appear in Open and Save dialog boxes. But I'm guessing this isn't the case here. You could certainly put this Customers folder in the left sidebar though.

I do open those folders daily and every click counts - will try will Customers in Favorites and smart subfolders within. Thanks Gary !
