How Do I Do Conditional Highlighting If a Vehicle Reg Meet Spec Criteria

I have cell B6 which has Vehicle Registration Number in. Example: CE63ANX. The spec type is 6. There are 7 different specs and each has a different colour to indicate vehicle Max Train Weight.

I have a lookup formula that looks for that vehicle reg in another table in a separate sheet and returns the spec number in cell C6.

I want Cell B6 to be blue.

Any idea how I can achieve this please

You can't. Conditional highlighting will allow you to change the color of that cell, but not another cell. So you'll have to settle for cell C6 to be blue.

Or, you can have a completely different column with an indicator in that.

Check out my video on this: Numbers Conditional Highlighting Based On Other Cell Values.
