How Do I Get Chronological Order for Photos Images Brought Into iMovie?

I am trying to create a movie in iMovie using photos from Photos and I want the photos in chronological order in my movie. However if I select a block of photos from the Library in iMovie called Photos, the block has the most recent photo at the top, and however I select them, the whole block comes across with the most recent photo first in the iMove project, not last.

I want the movie when viewed to show photos from the earliest to the latest (and I want to avoid manual sorting within the timeline in iMovie)

Drag from the Photos app instead. In Photos, put the photos you want in an album. Then view the album. Use View, Sort to change the sort order to what you want. Then select them all and drag to the iMovie timeline.

Excellent. This solves it. Obvious I guess when you know, but frustrating until then. If only the Apple help was as thorough.

It doesn’t work because when you open up iMovie, and then you go to the album that you’ve put all of them in order it doesn’t just automatically load them in that order you have to still go through and hit plus on every single one so what’s the difference whether you’re doing that from the order on your phone or taking it from the album it doesn’t allow you to “select all” and just drag them into the movie at once
    Errr what a stupid app
