How Do I Put PDF’s On iPad for Current iOS?

iBooks has been apparently removed from iTunes the current version 12.9.5.5. How do I transfer PDF’s from the MAC to an iPad now?

You don't need to use iTunes to sync your books from Mac to iPad. You just use the Apple Books app (not called iBooks anymore). In Books on Mac, go to Preferences, General and check Sync. On iOS, go to Settings, Books, Syncing iCloud Drive. Also make sure Books is turned on in iCloud settings on both too.

You can also just use the Files app. Just put the PDF on iCloud Drive and access the exact same file from your iPad in the Files app. This will also allow you to open the PDF in another app that supports PDF viewing and Files.

I must be dense. I can not find app called files app on the iPad. Could I have removed it by accident?

Jean: Which version of iOS are you using? You can get rid of it, so maybe you did so. You can get it again from the App Store.

IOS version 12.3.1 and I checked the App Store and found the files utility. I did delete it, because I recognize the ICON. and I now have tons of PDF files and other documents. Thank You.
