I have been able to “Repeat Typing” (Command+Y) in all versions of MS Word for Mac throughout many using versions of Mac OS for the last few years. Is there a way to “Repeat Typing” that in Pages, Keynote & Numbers?

Interesting, I didn't know about that unusual Microsoft Word feature. I just tried it and it seems like Command+y, which is normally used as "redo" (the opposite of undo) will change to Repeat Typing when the last action you took was to type a phrase.
Pages uses the more Mac-standard Shift+Command+z for redo, but doesn't change to Repeat Typing when the last thing you did was to type a phrase. It only works to redo something after an undo. That's how I've seen it work in every other app. I never noticed that Word treated it differently.
I suppose the closest thing that Pages and other apps have to that is to simply copy the text you just typed, and then paste.
Many thanks for the help with this, Gary. It's too bad that the Pages Shift+Command+z doesn't work as fully as it could. The Command+Y in Word will repeat not only typing but also formatting so you can go through a whole document and paste typing as well as paste format changes, and make them repeatedly. I'd like to see Apple add such a feature.
Steven: You can apply styles in Pages just as easily, though. You can even apply a keyboard shortcut for a style.
