How Do I Retrieve Embedded Information On Windows Photos From My MacBook Pro?

While using Windows, I entered information on many of my old scanned photos giving details as to date, location, names, etc in the Properties portion of the photo. This was done by right-clicking the photo, choosing Properties and entering the data (date photo was taken, occasion, names). I am now using a MacBook Pro and I can open the photos and find some information (date it was scanned and title) pertaining to the photos but not the information I manually entered. Is there an App or some key-stroke combination that will open this data on my Mac?

It is hard to say because I'm not sure what Windows did with that information. Was this inside of an app, or just as a file? Either way, Windows may have stored this information outside of the photo itself in some sort of database -- like as part of the library in some photo library app, or as part of its filesystem, but separate from the photo file.
Chances are that the information isn't there because it simply wasn't included when you transferred the file over. You can have an expert who is familiar with what you did take a look, but I'll bet that is what happened.
