Hi, can photos taken on an iPhone be date-stamped?
When viewing individual photos in my library, it would be good to see the date/time taken, without having to click on ‘info’ every time.

It is already there. No need to "stamp" the photo with anything. In the Photos app, open an individual photo and then look at the top. You should see the date there.
Also, if you swipe up in the middle of the screen you go into a mode where the photo takes up the top half of the screen and you get tons of info, including the date, on the bottom half. In either mode, swipe left and right to flip through your photos and the date remains there for you to see.
Thank you, Gary, for the quick response. I wanted to print photos with the date displayed, similar to compact cameras from a few years ago.
Wysiwyg: Oh, so you want to print them like that? You didn't mention anything about printing in your original question. How are you printing? To some sort of photo printer via an app? Some other kind of standard printer via AirPrint? Sending them to a service?
Also: Is your iPhone the only option? Can you print from a Mac as well?
Apologies for the confusion. The photos from my iPhone 16 have been transferred to the Photos app on my iMac. I will then print the photos via a Canon printer, hopefully with the date on.
Wysiwyg: In Mac Photos, print using "Contact Sheet" where you can choose various things to appear as "Captions" like the date.
I want the date to appear on the photo itself. Is using Markup an option? I did try this, but was unable to find Markup in Photos.
Wysiwyg: Why? I mean if you really want that, you can do it. Yes, markup is a great option as long as you don't need to do this very often. See https://macmost.com/10-creative-ways-to-use-markup-in-photos.html
