In settings/mobile data (on my iPhone) there in an entry “Uninstalled Apps” which is showing data usage how can I stop this?

I am doing all I can to reduce data usage.

That's just an entry there for data used by apps that are no uninstalled. For instance, if the last time you reset your data gathering statistics was 6 weeks ago, and you uninstalled a app 4 weeks ago, then the data that app used between 4-6 weeks ago would be included in this entry.

In other words it is no longer using any data at all. It can't. It isn't there anymore. But your statistics still need to account since those stretch back to a time when the app(s) were there.

You can reset your statistics by scrolling to the bottom of the list and tapping Reset Statistics. Then it will reset everything to 0 and start recording from now.

I reset my statistics every month on the date of my phone bill due date. That way I can make sure I don't go over my monthly data allowance.

Gene, are you saying that even after you have reset the statistics, that you have noticed the uninstalled apps data usage continue to be ‘updated’?
