The soft edges for an image option in Keynote 10 seems to be absent. MacMost pointed it out for earlier versions of Keynote in a previous post.
Is there workaround for this, or am I just missing it?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "soft edge." You can select an image in Keynote, then go to the Format sidebar, Style. Then choose a Line border, then one of the line styles that looks rough or fuzzy. Set it to white, or whatever the background color is of the slide. Then maybe increase the line size quite a bit.
The idea is to blur the edges of the image. In Powerpoint for Mac this is done using the soft edge function:
picture format > picture effects > soft edges > soft edges option .
Powerpoint blurs the image from the edge inwards blending it with the background.
Joe: I can't think of a way to do that in Keynote alone. The only previous reference I found to this on my site was using borders too. Of course you can use any image editor you want to do anything to the edges before you import.
