Select the text and bring up the Format sidebar on the Right. Click on Text at the top. Then look for the Advanced Options button in that sidebar. It looks like a little "gear" and is to the right of the BIUS (bold italics underline strikethrough) buttons. Click on that and then the setting you are looking for is character spacing.
