How to transfer video from a miniDV tape to MB AL(13.3)

I have a Canon miniDV (ZR85) camcorder with firewire port. Want to transfer the video from the tape into my MB aluminium (13.3), which doesn’t have a firewire port.

Any suggestion?

    You've got the unlucky combination. Those MacBooks that didn't have a firewire port just can't do it. Your best bet is to find someone who has a Mac with firewire and get them to help you out.
