Is it safe to sell old hard drive

I have replaced the hard drive that came in my MacBook drive with a larger one.
If I secure erase the old drive in Disk Utility, is it safe to sell?

    Yes. Using Secure Erase in Disk Utility is the way to go. Use that and then you can get rid of your old drive.
