Hi Gary, I`ve been trying to create a letterhead in Textedit. I successfully added my business logo and typed my Business address along the bottom of the page, than I saved it as a RTF in my Documents folder. My problem is, when I start typing a new letter my address gets pushed onto a 2nd page. Is there away to keep the address in place.

In TextEdit, no. It doesn't have headers and footers, which is what you really want. You should get Pages which does this (and much more). Now that you can buy it in the Mac App Store it is even cheaper. But as an alternative consider OpenOffice if you really want something for free.
Whew.... thanks, that ends my frustration. (OpenOffice) thanks for the tip. Do you know if "Bean" also has this ability ? Hard drive space is always a issue foe me.
I've never heard of Bean. Pages come in at under 300MB. Not bad for all it does.
Pages $19.99 @ the Mac App store. Down from $79.00 down loading now. Thank you again !!!!!!! You made my day :-)
I use Bean, but it's really more for 'writing' than word processing. It's touted as a tool for blog writers more than anything else. The Pages or OpenOffice/NeoOffice route are your better choices as Gary said.
