This has happened twice in the last few weeks. I’ll be working on my computer and all of a sudden a light gray screen comes down over what I’m working on, with a message in a black box which reads:
“You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again.”
The same message appears underneath in 4 additional languages.
Any idea why this is happening? Is there something to fix it, or should I be concerned?
Thanks in advance.

That's a Kernel Panic. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1392
Impossible to tell what might be causing it from here, though. Could be some software running in the background. Could be what you are doing at that very moment.
