Removing a Photo From Library, Does Photo Remain In an Album?

Question: If you delete a photo out of your Library (also in iCloud), and the photo is stored in an album, with the photo be deleted from the album also?

Yes. Think of the Library as where the photo really is located. An album is like a "playlist" of different photos in your Library. Every photo is in your Library once, but you can add it to as many albums as you like. If you delete the photo from your Library it is gone, and won't be in any albums anymore as it is gone. But you can remove a photo from an album and it doesn't change the fact that it is there in your Library.

Agree with the explanation -- but wouldn't the initial response be "No." (rather than "Yes.")?

Art: The answer is YES. If you delete a photo from your library, it will be gone from any album it is in. The photo wouldn't be anywhere in your library at all.

Sorry, I must've misunderstood the question, "...Does Photo Remain In an Album?"

Thanks so much for this explanation!! I was about to to lose my mind, not to mention lots of photos, trying to work this out.

Comparing an album to a playlist is when the lightbulb came on!!
