Got email that took me to a weird Canadian pharMacy. The “sender” realized that something had happened and emailed me later, but I opened the email. Should I be concerned? Will it get into my address book? etc?
Do not run any scans on my iMac running Lion. Thanks..

Scan After Bogus Email?

Did you install anything that was included in the email message, or the site it took you to? If not, then there's nothing to worry about.
There's no known exploit of Lion that does something to you just by viewing an email message.
Remember that Lion has built -in protections too. So even though you didn't "scan" with anything, Lion does do some of that with anything you download.
thank you…just took me to the site where I quickly realized it was a problem, and just closed it up. Did not install anything…thanks again!

Gary- agree with your comment (you know better than I) simply viewing an email seems harmless; is there risk in Lion (or other iOS) if one *clicks* a bogus link within a bogus email? The MSWindows community continually warns its users. Hackers seem to be targeting iOS more, as its popularity increases. Do you have an article on this?
Just clicking won't do anything. But if you click and download, then run, then give permission to install.. so a lot of steps before you allow something nasty on to your Mac.
I have an entire section of the site dedicated to this sort of thing:
