Should I Get An iPad or a MacBook Air?

I have an iMac (2012) , iPad (employers) and iPhone.
I have been give Apple vouchers and cannot decide if I should buy iPad 10.5 pro, keyboard and pen or the new Air Mac.
I use devices for reading online, safari, photos, numbers and PDF’s.

Welcome thoughts / advice.

So I assume you mean you are looking at the new iPad Pro 11-inch and the new MacBook Air. The 10.5-inch iPad is the old one. The new iPad Pros come in 11-inch and 12.7-inch sizes.

This is a hard one to advise you on with so little information. We had an interesting discussion about this at Club MacMost recently. It comes down to what you use the device for, and whether those things can be done on the iPad. It is also whether you like a desktop/window environment with a cursor, or a touch screen environment.

But since you have both now in an iMac and iPad, you probably already know this about yourself and what you do. I'm not sure there is anything I can tell you that you don't already know.

Make a list of pros and cons for each. Go to the Apple Store and try them out -- though since you already have a Mac and an iPad you get the general idea.

I also have both. I advise people looking for a laptop that if they mostly use it for Facebook, email and light word processing that the iPad Pro 12inch is a better choice. i would much rather travel with the iPAD than the laptop. I use a number of specialized programs that do not work with the iPad. Unless you need the special programs the iPad should be the "laptop"of choice.
