Sync Music To iTunes On Two Different Computers Running Different OSes?

I am currently running two Macs with 2 different operating systems side by side. My Macbook Pro is running Catalina and my iMac is running El Capitan 10.11.6. (It is a 2008 model iMac)

How would you go about “syncing” the two different iTunes/Music apps so they both contain the same music/songs/albums?

Thanks in advance.

One way would be to use iTunes Match. Another way would be to use Apple Music. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204926

This will enable a sync between these devices. And with Apple Music you also get access to lots of other music too. iTunes Match is basically just the syncing, and cheaper.

    That's how I do it.

I thought the process of sync was limited to one Mac. That is, if I have three Macs, I had to choose one as the device to sync to. Perhaps I am confusing that with backup? I don’t use Apple Music.

Mike: I'm not sure what you are saying. If you use Apple Music you have it on all of your Apple devices: Macs, iPads, iPhone. It is a cloud service so you see it everywhere you are logged in.
