What is the best way to transfer files from my pc to iPad. I have tried looking for a cable that has plugs into iPad but has a female USB port, that would allow me to plug flash drive in, and transfer files. Is there such a cable, if not, how who one go about doing this. Im looking to completely replace my old pc with this new device.

Files don't exist on the iPad outside of apps. For instance, Pages may have some word processing documents, iTunes will have music tracks, etc. But there are no files that are just "on the iPad."
The way to get files onto your iPad for an app to use them would be to sync your iPad with your PC and run iTunes. Part of the sync allows you to move documents between your PC and your iPad.
