What’s the Best Mac Application for Reading, Editing, Stamping and Signing PDF’s

My paid version of Acrobat Pro (v 10.1.1) is being decommissioned and Acrobat DC requires a monthly subscription to get necessary services. What’s the best application, without a monthly fee (one time fee ok), for reading, editing, stamping and signing PDF documents?

You can read, sign and stamp PDFs in Preview. At least I think you can — I'm not sure when you mean by "stamp." You can annotate them, and in doing so add text and such.

As for "edit" that is a different story. PDFs are output from apps that create documents. You use Pages, Word, Illustrator, InDesign, etc, to create PDFs. To edit them you would return to the source document and the app that created it and edit the source document and export again.

But perhaps you mean something different. Edit could also mean to annotate the document, or to copy sections or pages into new documents. You can do all that with Preview too.
